Winter Weather Advisory May Impact Thursday Morning Commute

Posted at 2:40 p.m.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 10 p.m. tonight (Jan. 3) to 11 a.m. on Thursday (Jan. 4) for Fairfax County.

A Winter Weather Advisory means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties, which could impact the morning commute on Thursday. You should be prepared for possible snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

The bitterly cold conditions mean that snow will quickly stick on untreated roads and sidewalks. Plan ahead and allow extra time to get to your destination if traveling late Wednesday night or Thursday.

Dear People, thank you very much! You are fantastic! I have a bilingual communications specialist who would be an asset to your office. Please let me know if you are interested in her information. She is currently working on a FEMA sponsored project, but would love to serve the community as part of your department. Again, thank you so much for all you do for the Fairfax community!
