Gas Leak Causes Traffic Delays Near George Mason University

The gas leak has been contained and the roads have been reopened.

Due to a gas leak in the area, Braddock Road and Route 123 are currently closed in both directions near George Mason University.

You should expect heavy delays if you are traveling near the campus, and we encourage you to find an alternate route. Here is a list of detours:

  • Braddock Road eastbound at Shirley Gate Road
  • Braddock Road westbound at Roberts Road
  • Route 123 northbound at Zion Road
  • Route 123 southbound at Mason Pond Drive
