Transportation Update

As the snow continues to fall, many area transportation services are impacted this morning. Here’s the latest:

  • Fairfax Connector has suspended all service, but will reevaluate operations around 7 a.m.
  • Fastran will transport dialysis, chemotherapy, and radiation trips only. All other scheduled route services including: senior centers, adult day health care, Women’s Recovery Center, senior residence trips, and charter services are canceled.
  • Virginia Railway Express will not operate any train service on Thursday and offices are closed.
  • Metrobus service (all routes, all lines) is suspended until further notice. The decision to suspend service was made at 3:15 a.m.

Fairfax County government, courts and schools are all closed on Thursday as well.

      We don’t plow roads, so we can’t help. That’s VDOT. Try to call their 24-hour phone number 1-800-FOR-ROAD.
