Updated Boil Water Advisory Area Map

Posted: 4:33 p.m.; Updated 5:07 p.m.

  • The Boil Water Advisory continues for Tysons, Dunn Loring, and Vienna.
  • Merrifield now no longer included (based on reevaluation of area affected).
  • Prepare to boil water at least through Monday night, July 2. This is the timing needed for proper testing. Families should be prepared.
  • All pumping stations back at full power.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Falls Church Water Utility advises water customers in portions of Tysons Corner, Vienna, and Dunn Loring to use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes as a safety precaution. This precaution is necessary due to a drop in water pressure.

Fairfax Water’s systems are operating normally.  There are no restrictions in place.  If you are a Fairfax Water customer, you do not need to boil your water.

Customers are advised not to drink tap water without boiling it first. Failure to follow this advisory could result in stomach or intestinal illness.

If you are not sure if you are affected by this advisory, view the map below.
