County, Regional Operating Status for Monday, July 2

Individual Fairfax County facilities are still being assessed for their ability to operate on Monday, July 2. An update on individual facilities will be forthcoming.

  • Fairfax County Government is open, Monday, July 2, however employees have been granted unscheduled leave. Emergency service personnel should report as scheduled.
  • Fairfax County Public Schools operating status will be updated online at www.fcps.edu.
  • The Fairfax County Circuit Court, General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court are closed.

  Transportation: Connector, Fastran

  • Fairfax Connector bus service is operating per its normal schedule. Check the Connector Web page at www.fairfaxconnector.com for the current operating status.
    • Due to the extreme heat, Fairfax Connector and Metro will allow passengers to carry and consume water on the systems through closing Monday, July 2.
  • For information about FASTRAN, call 703-222-9764, press 8; TTY 711*, or online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/ncs/fastran.htm.

 Libraries

  • Library hours may be affected; call your local branch before visiting. For branch phone numbers, call 703-324-3100* or go to www.fairfaxcounty.gov/library.

    Any updates on the Verizon phone system outage? As you know, residential and probably most business customers can get no information directly from Verizon sources.
