Phone lines are currently unavailable at the 9-1-1 call center. If you need to report an emergency, go to your nearsest police or fire station.

    The headline says “unavailable,” but the opening line of the text says “available” — that should be corrected. Thank you (and thank you for the blog posts, as they are very helpful!)

      I don’t understand how this could happen. With triple redundancy and the new emergency services palace we paid for as taxpayers. Given the heat wave this must be taken serious. I hope the county supervisors take this serious and investigate. Had this been at a time of terrorism look at the impact it would have had. Please everyone stay safe.

    Hmmm. This post says that we should go to the fire or police stations to report an emergency because phone lines are down.

    Right below it, there is an entry that says call before going to county facilities.
