9-1-1 Call Center Volume

Fairfax County Department of Public Safety Communications, the 9-1-1 Center, is experiencing a high volume of calls due to the weather emergency. If you receive a recording when you call 9-1-1, please stay on the line and your call will be answered as soon as possible. The 9-1-1 Center is fully staffed. However, residents should only call 9-1-1 in an emergency.

    Please also provide the non-emergency number for things that need to be taken care of soon but are not necessarily immediately life threatening. Also, please provide the number for VDOT issues (such as a blocked culvert). Also, please post the time with each blog posting. Thanks for providing this information.
