Public Schools Closed Monday and Tuesday

All Fairfax County public schools will be closed on Monday, Oct. 29, and Tuesday, Oct. 30. All Fairfax County public schools offices will be closed on Monday, Oct. 29. An assessment for office re-opening will be made on Monday afternoon. The following activities in schools and on school grounds will be canceled on Monday and Tuesday:
- extracurricular activities
- interscholastic contests
- team practices
- field trips
- middle school after-school programs
- professional learning and training courses
- all adult and community education classes
- recreation programs and community use by outside groups not affiliated with FCPS
Weather personnel are not to report to work. School Age Child Care (SACC) centers will be closed.

Not much of a response. Can you offer a time frame for this decision? the schools are closed and residents need to make plans for the next two days.
I imagine they will have to make the call before or during the 6 p.m. online discussion.
Will there be trash pick up on Monday. You have reccommended bringing the trash cans inside.

Steve SACC and daycares are two different things SACC is through public school daycares are companies
I work in Bank At Vienna , There has been no updated about building being closed to open .Do you think the bank will be open on monday and tuesday
Any news about the employees working for other county agencies???…we have to make plans too.
Yes, I too, have to be at work by 7:00am and my plans for my family have to be in place by the previous evening.
Will the Courts be open on Monday???
I’m sure we will be given unscheduled leave if you work for the County- Same old thing, kids out, parents are forced to work or use leave. It never fails that the Court is closed though..
