Electric Sunday Event Canceled

The Fairfax County Solid Waste Management Program has cancelled the Electric Sunday event previously scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 28 at the I-66 Transfer Station due to Hurricane Irene .

“Our contractor for these events is based in North Carolina, where they expect a bigger hit than we will likely experience,” said Joyce Doughty, Director of the Solid Waste Management Program. “Their safety team recommended cancellation as many of their subcontractors were beginning to relocate trucks out of the region in advance of the storm.”

This Electric Sunday event will not be rescheduled.
